Golf

"My passion is being a catalyst for players who want to make a living at golf and dream of becoming the best in the world. I've worked with golfers at every competitive stage, and I believe this is one of the most difficult sports to play at a high level. If you have big dreams and goals and a strong work ethic, I'd like to talk with you and explore the possibility of working together." -Dr. Neff

More About

1on1 mental training sessions in ZOOM

Weekly private recorded sessions beginning with a customized program that targets high priority areas to improve. Continued training includes performance assessments and testing of mental skills to insure proper application.

Mental toughness Hole-by-Hole® round assessment and analysis

Using this system, players can visually see where mental toughness broke down during a round, as well as the level of resilience. Birdie opportunities and completions are tracked for added feedback on scoring performance.

Creation of a Mental Score®

For easy comparison to a players physical score, the Mental Score involves assessing key controllables each hole and assigning a mental birdie, par or bogey. When a player's Mental Score decreases, the physical score follows suit soon after.

Development of pre and post-shot routines for emotion control

Development of pre and post-shot routines for emotion control. Most all golfers have developed a physical pre-shot routine but it often doesn't include a mental routine. And it's rare to hear about a golfer who has a strong post-shot routine. However, research has shown that if a player behaves negatively immediately after a mistake, future confidence and performance can be harmed. As such, the pre and post-shot routines include several mental skills designed specifically to reduce memory of errors and increase confidence across the round.

Mental practice using the Range Round® system

To more efficiently use time, golfers can play a full 18 hole round on the range in 45min using this system. Range Rounds have the added benefit of enhancing pre and post-shot routines, as well as enhancing confidence because of the added emphasis on visualization.

On-course Pressure Testing

After players complete repetitions on a stroke or new movement, they need to know if it will hold up in competition. To simulate tournaments, consequences will be added to increase importance and provide a more accurate test of skill strength and resilience.

On-range Adversity Ramps®

To help players apply Pressure Testing, increasing levels of adversity can be gradually applied. Ramps begin with easier goals and build by adding tougher ones with more emotion-producing consequences. Each ramp must be custom created for maximum impact.

Advanced Golf Periodization®

By tracking and controlling weekly training load, performance can be enhanced while reducing the chances of burnout and injury. Training load consists of practice frequency, duration and intensity.

Emotion Wheel®

Interactive model to help athletes recognize their current emotional state and change it for the better during competition.
